The Actors Fund has been designated by the State of California as the go-to organization to provide health care reform outreach and education to the visual and performing artist communities in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Alameda and Sacramento.
We plan to run 500 workshops and connect with up to 100,000 artists to make sure that Every Artist is Insured and understands their rights and protections. Below are more complete descriptions of our workshops and helpline.
The Actors Fund educators and counselors are available Monday - Friday from 9am - 4:30pm to answer your questions and to help enroll you in an affordable health insurance plan.

This workshop will:
- Walk you through your Covered California options and requirements
- Provide important information relevant to freelancers and the self-employed
- Help you figure out how to get affordable health insurance with the help of tax credits and federal subsidies
- Answer all of your burning questions!
This event is free and open to everyone in the visual and performing arts and entertainment industry. Guests are welcome.
